The short version: Your details never leave your hands. We collect only what we need to run the platform. We never sell, share, or commercially exploit your personal information. Ever. This is a fundamental term of how we operate.
1. Who we are
Khaya Comply is a South African household employment compliance platform operated by Khaya Comply (Pty) Ltd. We provide digital tools to help South African household employers comply with labour law — including UIF, COIDA, payslips, employment contracts, and leave tracking.
We are accessible at khayacomply.co.za and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. What information we collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services:
- Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register
- Profile information: your UIF reference number and phone number if you choose to provide these
- Worker information: details about your domestic workers that you enter into the platform — including their name, ID number, salary, and employment dates
- Payment information: your subscription payment is processed by PayFast. We do not store your card details — these are handled entirely by PayFast
- Usage information: how you use the platform to help us improve it
3. How we use your information
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To provide the Khaya Comply platform and its tools to you
- To manage your subscription and process payments
- To send you compliance reminders and platform updates
- To improve the platform based on how it is used
- To comply with our legal obligations
We do not use your information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
4. What we will never do with your information
This is a fundamental and non-negotiable commitment:
- We will never sell your personal information to any third party
- We will never share your personal information with advertisers or marketing companies
- We will never commercially exploit your personal information in any way
- We will never share your workers' personal information with any third party without your explicit consent
Your details — and your workers' details — stay in your hands. That is the whole point of Khaya Comply.
5. Who has access to your information
Your information is stored securely in Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. Access is restricted to:
- You — through your secure logged-in account
- Khaya Comply's platform administrator for support purposes only
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform, each of whom processes only the minimum data necessary:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication
- PayFast — payment processing (they handle your card details, we do not)
- EmailOctopus — email communications
- Afrihost — website hosting
6. Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
All data is stored in encrypted form. Access to your account is protected by your password and optional two-factor authentication. We recommend using a strong unique password for your Khaya Comply account.
If you become aware of any security concern, please contact us immediately at lauren@thecollabagencysa.co.za.
